Artist's Statement

Sigrid Wonsil is a figurative painter and printmaker who draws inspiration from her  experiences in nursing and teaching, travels and living.
She often pictures people not normally considered beautiful, such as the handicapped, ill and elderly, to reveal their unacknowledged beauty of character and courage.
Her ideal is to point out beauty visible, but often overlooked, in every-day life. T
